Trigger pressure transducer/recorder

I am looking for a device that will record trigger pressure through a shot process and record the entire sequence on a laptop.

Anyone know of such??

taz -

It appears that the trigger must be replaced with the SCATT unit. That will not work on a 1911.

The transducer must attach somehow to the front of the trigger.

True.
In my defense one of the posts was on the olympic pistol section and for the one that was on the bulseye section a 1911 was never mentioned.

Rikka had a surface mount one, but it is pretty useless.

howdy,
The arduino is pretty easy, there are vast libraries of arduino "sketches" (different programs that you can use and modify) that you can easily download, it is all open source...the arduino is around 30$US, resistive pressure sensors 8$US..
the arduino tutorials online are easy to figure out.

I'm instrumenting my steyr lp10e grip with several of the sensors, and plan on a trigger sensor also. I'll need to have a microphone to pick up the shot noise, for timing. Lastly I plan on a balance board to stand on, to watch the motion caused by standing "still" ....all in, I should be able to log 4 grip senors, (thumb, back of grip, 3rd finger 2nd knuckle (where the downward weight is supported), 3rd finger end, the trigger sensor, mic, and the balance board. it all should be ready to use in about a month, I'll post results if it looks at all informative...
