Pardini PGP75

Anyone (especially Modesto Pete) knows exactly what "achievement" the PGP75 has? It started production from 1979..and the World Cup did not start until much later. In the Pardini website they did not list any tournament victories or famous shooters that use them. I wonder if it is just PR, or just a good pistol but completely outclassed by the MU55-1, the Hammerli, and the Toz at the time?
