Hi,

Anyone with Rink grips want to comment on the various options and how they feel and work for you? I'm confused! Besides the size (L golf glove but 82mm across the buckles so their chart say I'm a S?!), there's flat vs convex, thick vs normal, and I'm thinking of getting the 7 degree Angle because of a surgically repaired arm that can't straighten. oh and I'll get the upswept palm shelf too!

I wasn't convinced about them when I first order mine for my FP60.

But I've had it on my gun for over a year now and think it's great. You need to spend a bit of time going through the different dimensions and make sure you get the right measurements. Once that's done correctly you should have no troubles.

If you have a doubt about with size of grip you should order from Rink, the best advise I can give you is to send and outline of your shooting hand to Rink (as it is explained on his website: http://www.formgriffe.de/en/shpPfCnt.php?sCI=105) Rink is very helpful and will reply you in the shortest amount of time. The decision of a 0 or 7 degree can only be yours because it depends largely on the position of the front sight when aiming.

Just be aware, too, that you still might need to do some adjusting. It may be significantly less than for a stock, generic grip, but just because it's Rink doesn't mean it's "perfect". I see grip modification at least as an advantage. It's highly unlikely that any grip that's made by anyone except you will fit you 100%. And in terms of fit, I mean not only your hand, but how your hand affects the arm/general shooting position. As you continue to practice, too, your technique may change and you may realize you want a different grip on the gun.

Don't fear change. It can actually be liberating. The major reason I would get a Rink grip is if it changes the balance of the gun significantly in a way that's better for you. For example, I know that the stock TOZ grips are HUGE compared to Rink grips.
