Weight of the Walther LP400

Hi all,
in a test by a German gun magazine (Visier) the weight of the LP400 was given with 996 gram. I stumbled over this because in all specifications the weight is described to be 950 gram. Not crucial, but after all a difference of almost 50 gram. I suppose they refer to an M size grip and empty air tank.

Just out of curiosity - can anyone weigh their Lp400 and state the production date?

Perhaps they changed the design during production, e.g. I remember reading that LP400 featuring muzzle cones without holes turned up.

The main reason for the low basic weight of the LP400 ist the very slim barrel (stated to be 8,95mm diameter). So if they find that they need to use a somewhat thicker barrel that would increase the weight without being visible from the outside.

Could one have been the aluminium sleeve and the other the carbon one?

Sorry I forgot to mention, I am referring to the aluminum version in full lenght. They also had this in their test.

Thanks for the info. BTW, is that their optional "Expert" trigger shoe?

Most of it is except for the shoe itself. I had to make a new one because the walther one is too thick which meant I had to stretch my finger too far, even at its rearmost position. The design, engineering and quality of this gun is incredible.
