I have an Anschutz 1913 w/1813 stock on it. However i might have the oppurtunity to sell it and get a 2013 with a wood stock on it. i was wondering what is the opinion on the 2013 vs the 1913 pros and cons.

Honestly, the biggest difference is that the barrel is easier to change on the 2013.

Both round and square Anschutz actions are great. 2013 has the advantage of ease of drop in barrels. Also is longer on the front of the action for scope mounting. The square action is supposed to be more rigid??? Research the square action in the wood stock. Very difficult to bed. Call Larry at 10point9.com. He shoots a 2013 in a wood stock. He can give you his experience with it directly. I think the round action would be easier to glass bed if you ever needed to. The wood stock might be a little more finicky since it has four action screws to contend with. With an aluminum stock it might not be as much a factor???? Something to think about.

I have a 2013, and I would prefer a Walther, just because the loading port is closer to the shooter.

What stock is your 2013 in and how long is the barrel i have heard people dislike the 500mm barrel

I use the MEC stock, and the 500mm barrel with a 12 inch bloop tube. I can post pictures if you want.
I like the short barrel. I have no complaints about the barrel.

I know many of the 500mm barrels have a tube that runs them out to 600 i was curious on how you clean the tube

Everyone I know who has a tube uses a shotgun rod and a wad of tissue or rag to swab out the tube. I use own-brand economy J-Cloths ripped into long strips after a squirt of brake cleaner or WD40.

12g bore snake works perfect. Just one swipe through and it done!

I will when I get home. I may just write a post about my rifle, a lot of people have asked about it.

I use a 12 gauge boresnake with some kroil on it. then use Q-tips to get the crud that comes off of it on the collar.

nice rifle i see you have your own bloop tube on it. I have seen 2013s with a short barrel have the short fat tube at the end of the barrel is this a permanent installation by anschutz or can i take it of and but my own 10" one on it.

I have an UptaTuner on my rifle. 12inches. It has its own locating collar and pin on it. The bloop tube that you speak of comes with the rifle, and there is a pin that is installed into the barrel so you can take it on and off and repeat your zero. The collar on my tube sits in front of the factory locating pin and has a pin that is parallel with the bore.

if i put my own bloop tube on do i have to use my own collar. how much is an uptatuner. Also is the uptatuner issf legal

the tuner tube I have comes with a collar. They are made by Eric Uptagrafft in Pheonix City, Ala. They come in two models a plain tube with no tuner, and a tuner tube. The standard tube is $140.00 and can be had in your choice of 6, 8, 10, or 12 inches. The tuner tube is $210.00 and can be had in 8, 10, or 12 inch lengths. They are ISSF legal.

Most other tubes come with a collar or way of mounting them.

The tube for the short barreled 2013 comes off - however, I know someone who never removed it... When he finally took it to a gunsmith because it wouldn't shoot, they removed the tube and the crown was hidden under a mass of crud which couldn't be removed without doing serious damage...

Moral of the story - when you finish shooting, remove the tube and clean the debris off the muzzle.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the 660mm barrel.

I don't understand why someone would want the longer barrel, I feel that the short barrel is better in all aspects except sight radius, but that is easily corrected.
