Low density grip filler to match the feeling of wood

Hi all,
there is a wide range of grip fillers on the market, including the highly regarded Morini grip paste. All fillers I am aware of have a high density and feel 'cold'. Wood, particularly American walnut, is more porose and has a lighter density. Is there a filler that matches these attributes better in your opinion?
Once I carved out a portion of a grip, then glued a fitting block of wood into place and reworked it. The result was a lot more pleasent feeling then expoxy filler.
