SIG Hammerli P 240 38 WC Questions?

Im looking at a used Swiss SIG-Hammerli P 240 target pistol in 38 WC caliber.

I know that there are bulged barrels with this particular caliber of the P 240 and as I~ understand it this can been see by inspecting the barrel out of the gun.

The question I have is related to something completely different; on this gun which is in extremely good condition there is a slight discoloration of the metal at the chamber end of the barrel and the edge of the slide by the ejection port.

Is this discoloration normal for this pistol or is it something to be concerned about.? It looks to me to be from some minute blow by of hot gases when the gun is cycling to discharge the spent round.

Im looking for some help here. Id like to buy the gun but I do not know this particular model and I do not want to be buying something that is either damaged and/or not functioning correctly.

Thanks for any help

The discoloration is from local hardening of the breech face. The harder surface exhibits a different hue in hot bluing. In short is is normal.
