What type and diameter should I get for my FWB102 for practice in my apartment 9m range (on reduced targets)? I know my pistol likes RWS R-10 match pistol pellets but I'd like something a bit more affordable (and I'd like to give Pilkguns my business since I've learned so much from this forum) for practice, especially since I'm finding I'm going through pellets a lot faster than I initially expected :D

Vogels are excellent pellets. Maybe you should try a variety of sizes
to see what works in your individual pistol. A bit of a search here will
provide you with a lot of pellet info.
But to shoot a lot, I use RWS Basic
at $48.00 a sleeve of 5000. 7.0 grain wadcutters that seem as clean
and uniform as any pellets I have used.

Another correction- It was not a sleeve. It was a box of 10
individual carded tins. I was mixed up with the sleeve of 2500 -8.2
meisterkugelns at about the same price.

Are you shooting scores over 580?

If not, then do a bit of a search of this forum and you will find that almost any good quality wadcutter will do the job.

Phillip: Where do you buy your sleeves of pellets from? Pyramidair.com only seems to sell them by the can (per 500)...

4.5 should be fine.
I think that is what I use.

Pyramid's pricing is a bit odd. Instead of giving a discount for buying a sleeve of 10, they give you every 4th tin free. However, if you buy 8 tins, you will get two for free & they will ship a sleeve. Mind you, some pellets (like the RWS Hobby or Basic) apparently are no longer sold in sleeves, they are all single pack on a card with annoyingly tough plastic shrink wrap.

I usually end up buying 9 tins if I want a large quantity. That way I get 12. I bought some RWS match pellets that way a while back, and got a sleeve, plus two loose tins.

Prices are very reasonable, but if you were to buy the RWS Basic pellets from Pyramyd Air, it would still be a bit cheaper...:$5.99x9= $53,91 plus shipping (3 free tins) or $4,75x12=$57 plus shipping

Actually, $4.20 (sleeve price)X 12= $50.40 + shipping. They MIGHT be able to cram 10 in the small Priority Mail box for $5 & change. No problem getting two sleeves into one of the $11 PM boxes.

Pyramid also occasionally runs free shipping promotions, but the last one was for orders > $100. That's not too difficult to hit for match pellets, but it's a bit much for Hobby or Basics.
