Weaver red/green dot for Bullseye?

Has anyone had experience with the weaver red dot? I like the fact that the elevation and windage can be adjusted without a tool (good for silhouette). I plan on shooting casual bullseye and some pistol silhouette with a berretta model 87 target in 22lr. So far my candidates for the red dot would be the weaver, ultradot match, or Burris fast fire. Any other suggestions under $300?
Weaver: never seen one in person, worried it might be too big on a hand gun.
Ultra dot: not a big fan of having the tube scope with rings
Burris: difficult to adjust
Aimpoint h-1 or t-1: over $500:(
