Centerfire pistol help needed

Hello, and I apologize for asking what my searches say has been asked a lot. I have normally shot an old Kart-barrelled Springfield for Bullseye, and it is ok, but not really a Bullseye gun. More a fixed sight carry gun and IDPA-ready. Looked at the Les Baer wad gun and hardball guns, and I have previous good experiences with his guns. My issue is that I would like to have a pistol that will be used mainly at local BE matches with medium-power LSWC, but would be capable of firing hardball and legal for the CMP matches when I choose to do so. I use a Pardini SP for .22. I can shoot Master-class scores with it, but not with my Kart gun.
So, IF this is possible, would one of the Baer models work (Hardball model) assuming I might need to change recoil springs, or better yet, can anyone give me contact info for a pistolsmith who could build one at the same general price point, give or take $500? I am OK with a gun that can excel at hardball and perform OK at BE.
I know, I want the best of both worlds at one expense, and a compromise is just that. I would just prefer to spend efforts on learning one CF pistol only.
Thanks for any suggestions!

I use one gun for hardball and wadcutter. It is set up by myself and the barrel is a bar-sto. It will shoot either bullet equally well and the only drawback I see is that my trigger is always 4 pounds and it would be too much hassel to change it. I have heard it said that a bar-sto is only for jacketed bullets but I haven't had any problem with accuracy or cleaning with either bullet and swaping back and forth. I shot it in a Ransom Rest several times to work up loads and it is not picky. I shoot Magnus 230 hardball bullets and my own wadcutter made from a Saeco 069 mold. I think you would have to get the Baer hardball gun and use it for wad because the wad gun has a grip safety and guide rod that isn't hardball legal and the trigger would be too light.

oldcaster-
Thanks for your reply. I discussed just what you advised with John at Proload. He will be getting some hardball pistols in stock in a few weeks. Other than the expense, I don't see a large downside to the Baers, as I have had two of his carry-guns in the past and they worked as advertised. I believe I will shop around a bit with his competition, a few of whom have sent PM's offering their services. I am glad I asked the question. Time to clean the Pardini.....
Thanks....Amanda4461

I do have a Baer, but it is a scope model. I think I bought it around the late 80's and it has really lasted well. It seems to me that I paid 1100 and something for it new from Champions Choice. So far all I have done is replace the bushing and that was lately. I would highly recomend it. I don't think Champions Choice carries iron sights wadcutter guns but I would imagine they do have the hardball models.-- Bill --

I have two 45's that I shoot - a S&W 945PC and a Norinco with a Jarvis barrel. I have shot both in bullseye matches with 185 gr. LSWC's and also used 230 gr. FMJ's. I have a Docter red dot mounted on each guns slide.

.32 ACP Pardini

PArdini USA is almost ready to get on the market .32 ACP version. I shot the prototype at Camp Perry and won the rapid fire portion of the match, even though it was my first Perry. I even kept the last target :). On all the tests the .32 ACP demonstrated better balistics, and it is cheaper to buy or reload, comparing to .32 SW. We're also working on a conversion pistol .32 ACP/.22 LR. In the box is going to be .32 Pardini pistol, .22 LR barrel, .22 LR conversion bolt, recoil spring and magazines. The frame is the same, the trigger is the same, the scope mount and scope are the same, and the grip is the same.
The recoil of the .32 ACP is not a lot bigger than Pardini .22 LR.

Pardini USA is dealing and servicing exclusively Pardini guns.

Hi!
Yes, the Pardini HP is a blowback type semiautomatic pistol.
Yes, this is a specially developed load that Pardini USA is planning to introduce on the market later this year. We used Hornady XTP bullets. Of course anyone will be able to develop a load that fits him best.
All information regarding the newly developed models at 32ACP, the conversions to 22LR and the ammunitions for our pistols will be available at our website as soon as we have anything new.

Noticed the GT-9 INIOX on the website an all steel version of the GT-9. Is this available in 9x19 (i9mm Luher) or only 9x21?

Pardini GT9 and GT9 INOX

Hi Tony!

Yes you can order any of the GT9 and GT9 INOX models chambered in 9x19. My INOX is in 9x19. In Italy 9x19 is only a military caliber and is not legal for personal use. This is not the case here in the States. Keep in mind that the INOX is only a special order. It is stainless, weights much more. Giampiero Pardini is the person who work and finish the INOX guns. There are not so many made. I got mine last year for my 50th birthday with engraved dedication and Giampiero's signature. It was only the 8th made :). And yes it is much more expensive. Now keep in mind that if you have a GT45 we do have a conversion kits to 9x19, but if you have a GT9 it cannot be converted to 45.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions please let me know!
