Brand New Guy to the Sport of Small Bore
Brand new to the small bore world looking for any info I can find. Today was my first exposure to the sport and would like to get involved. I'm a leftie and I shoot other shooting sports as well, trap and pistol. I'm a Life member of NRA and ATA with other credentials as well, so I'm not a newbie to the shooting community. I was given gun info today like to look for a used 1900 or 2000 series Anschutz and I'll be taking a coaches class to help with my lack of knowledge as well. Any input would be appreciated, THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Re: Brand New Guy to the Sport of Small Bore
Are you taking the coaching class to become a coach or to learn how to shot better? I took the first coaching class many years ago and the class I took didn't offer much information in the way of how to teach position shooting. I think we spent about 30 minutes on all three positions out of the two or three day class sessions. I have heard the NRA has revamped the courses, but I haven't heard in what way. I had to get my information the hard way by working with experienced shooters, other coaches, and books like the "Ways of the Rifle" and "Air Rifle Shooting". Good luck and have patience as this is a life long learning process. I have doing this for almost 20 years and I am still learning new things.clayshooter08 wrote:Brand new to the small bore world looking for any info I can find.
