Open Sights & 45

Post by BorzoiDad »

I have been shooting bullseye for about 2 years with a Benelli 22 and 32. I have a 45 but have not been shooting as the fellow I bought it from (a High Master) told me I needed to used hand loads that were lighter than commercial and if I used commercial I would just "f" up the gun. (I am going to buy a reloader with tax refund.)

I shot a friend's 45 this weekend and really didn't like the red dot sight. But it seems that every one was using one.

The gun doesn't have a rear sight. It does have a slot for a front sight. 1. Shoudl I just get used to using the red dot?
2. How hard would it be for a gunsmith to install a rear sight?

THanks.

No problem at all to have iron sights installed. I bet Pilk would do it for you. It's not rocket science. (PS Don't send the whole gun.)
