Howdy, I modified a pair of safety glasses into shooting glasses to use at the firearm range I shoot at. They require them for safety. They did not allow the standard shooting glasses used for air pistol.
The shooting lens holder is from a Gehmann shooting frame, I got it from the guy that sells Gehmann stuff on ebay, I ordered just the lens holder and it was $30, the lens I got for $ 45 from my eyeglass company. I just asked for what I needed in focal length ("I gotta see clearly 35 inches from my right eye") when I got my regular glasses... was not a problem... works well.

They don't have to cost $200, and juniors are better served spending the money on an eye exam if needed.

most eye tests to determine the lens prescription are based on 12mm (lens to eye) vertex distance. Putting the lens further away from the eye will require an adjustment (your opyician can work this out) to the prescription
