Hey,
I just got a new daisy 887 today and i have no idea on how to set up the sling. I have the mounts on, but how do you work with the sling?
Thanks!

OK all ... I'm irritated with myself.
I used to have an article that Bob Foth handed out at his clinics on sling usage ... and I cannot find it.

USA Shooting used to (may still) have it on their website, but as i recall there was no link to it ... you had to know the URL .... anyone?

I've sent 'Fury a few Canadian Cadets and some CMP articles.

The link to that old post has some photos of some of my shooters from a few years ago, and I was looking for that article back then .... wish I knew where it was

Thanks for the replies, but i still can't figure out how to put it together. I know how to use it, but i don't know how or where to thread the straps. I tried that article that you mailed me jhmartin, but I still couldn't figure it out.

For instance, there is no "middle" part of the clasp. Also, what are the clips next to the clasps? Where do i put the short side? Thank you for you time, i just wish there was a guide of specific instructions for this sling in the gun case.

'Fury,

With some luck someone with an 887 all set up will see this and attach a picture. In the meantime, if you could attach a picture of the parts someone might be able to tell you how to make it all happen.

For the time being, words convey your frustration but not really the problem.

I've got some new kids I'm running thru prone.
I'll try and remember to take a camera tonight and take some photos for you.

Thank you guys so much, I might have figured it out. It turns out that the sling is already threaded, i just needed to find out the right places to adjust. But, i still don't know what the "clips" are. I am really sorry if i am acting rude, it was just really frustrating. If i can get my camera to work, i will take a picture of the "clips".

Frog .... The one I was looking for was for air rifle, but the one you linked to is just as good in showing how the sling should have the twist around the back of the hand to the handstop

I got the article from Bob Foth this weekend and got permission to repost on the web ... I'll put it on our website tonight and update a link to it.
