Which one you choose: Varga 3000 Alu Eye or Varga 3000 Special??
This is the real question, thank you for the help.

I found the "prone" offset bridge 3000 with the various links and angled lens holder awkward and fiddly to set up and wobbly, I eventually gave up with them and sold them and bought the straight 3000.
That's a long winded way of saying just buy the ordinary 3000 with the small lens! Fits well for Prone and 3P.

Get the best one for you, and if possible try them before you buy. I would add that some frames are so adjustable that they move and can easily be knocked out of alignment. I can't comment on the varga's specifically but it's a factor worth bearing in mind.

It also depends on what position you are going to use them and "how" is your position built up...
I started with Varga's Merkur 3200R.They are the fix nose stem.
The will cover you perfectly for prone and kneeling.
Now,for standing, they will cover you up to a spesific ammount and that depends on how you have built your standing position(head position)
I would choose fix stem for prone and kneeling and off set stem for standing.
