Yanks at January's Canadian Airgun Grand Prix

Post by william »

As a follow-up to the Grand Prix registration packet I just received an email reminder about the over 500fps rule that makes many air pistols "restricted firearms." It included the following:
The following air pistols have been classified as 'restricted firearms' by the Canadian Firearms Centre (CFC):
- Feinwerkbau 65
- Feinwerkbau 80
- Feinwerkbau P30
- Morini CM162E
- Morini CM162EI
- Pardini K2
- Pardini K2s
- Steyr LP1
- Steyr LP10
Be aware that the list is far from complete. Benellis, SAM's, Walthers and later model FWB's among others are also restricted firearms and require the same paperwork as the ones shown.

Look up the thread from last winter about procedures to legally take your air pistol into Canada. Play it safe; follow the rules, and you'll hardly notice the additional effort. See you there!

William,

Thank you for raising a good

I would suggest anyone who is thinking about attending a match in canada with their air pistol, please contact the Royal CDN Mounted Police who run the Firearms Centre at 1800 731 4000 and ask about your specific Air pistol.

All you want to ask is if your Make and Model is a restricted firearm - they can look this up for you very quickly.

The CDN AirGun Grand Prix is a great match!
