I'm not sure I understand the question.

The electronic target doesn't need to be near to the bullet trap for it to work. The distance between the target and the bullet trap should make no difference to the score.

Remember that under ISSF rules, 6.3.4.2 says that you should have backing targets located 1m behind the electronic targets on a 25m range.

We can use paper for backing target for cross shot.but moving the heavy bullet trap in not possible.
I want just to know about safety on the range, when using target with 25m bullet trap away!

thank again.

The size and position of a bullet trap are not covered by ISSF rules.

It is the responsibility of the shooter and the range operator to ensure that the range is safe.

In AUS for competitions on paper targets a lot (most?) of our 25m Precision Stages are fired on 50m ranges with targets set at 25m...
...without problems.

To answer your question requires a question. Do the bullets fired at the 25m target end up where they must, in the bullet trap (or backstop)?

If the bullet traps were left at the 50m target line, probably not for most 25m events, and almost certainly not for RFP.
Backstop, yes.

Maybe this is a bit silly but you could move the firing point forward 25 m insted of moving the back stop closer. I have seen it done befor but as I dont shoot pistol I am not sure what discipline they were shooting.

I am thinking 10 what are you thinking?

tricky on a baffled safety range, plus the firing points and the needed structures. etc. per rule 6.3.6.3 would make the range effectively unusable for 50m
