Looking at the start list of the Worldcup Rapidfire match at Sydney: I counted only 15 shooters, seems a rather low number, Ok maybe its still eraly in the season, just wondering how many shooters visit this board shoot 25m rapidfire match regularly? or perhaps more importantly, how many has has access to 25m rapidfire target setup at their club?

WC Sydney - is a very long journey from Europe away. Many national teams have to save money.
Plus - no OG licenses in Sydney.

e.g instead of Sydney Ukraine have sent many shooters to Wiesbaden and ISAS. Two weeks long trip... many events (but not the same level as WC of course). For the same money NOC can send 20 shooters accross Europe... instead of 5-6 to Sydney.

My wife and I regularly shoot rapid fire match, basically every range in Australia is capable for running the match. I cant think of any range who doesnt have the ability to shoot it.

Unfortunately though, not as many shoot rapid as they are either too lazy to set up the targets/range or couldnt be bothered.

Cheers
Brad

Brad, I agree with you, in 15 years of pistol shooting here in Australia I have only shot RF ONCE at club level, they just want to shoot SP/CF or Standard pistol.
I have been a member of several clubs in NSW and Queensland and they are just not interested in RF.
It makes it a bit hard when you go to a competition without any match practice.

I shoot rapid fire, but not as often as I'd like. I can only shoot once per 2 weeks and then I have to choose wether to shoot longarms or handguns. If I choose handguns then will it be with my 22, my centrefire, my air pistol or my black powder revolver? If I shoot 22 then the choice is rapid, standard, silhouette, free.
Too much shooting to do, not enough time off work and home duties.
I enjoy all kinds of shooting and don't want to specialise, so D Grade is a good place for me.
