I have a question.
Suppose that a rifle(bigbore)is set to hit the ten ring at 300m.
If I don't alter anything(canting,stock) but simply raise both sights(no clicks) with a pair of 20mm raising blocks,will the impact point(on the target)will shift 20mm upwards?

Ideally, if the front and rear sight risers were exactly the same height 20.000mm AND exactly in line with the mounting point, i.e., the centerline off the sights remain the same +/-0.000 then I would expect that the gun would hit 20 mm LOWER.
But the problem is manufacturing tolerances are not that close so it will not be practically possible to see that result. Another factor is that if you raise the sight line, you must also raise the cheek piece to see through the raised sights; changing the recoil characteristics from before raising to after raising the sights. Of course the grouping size of the rifle is at least double (probably triple) that bigger at 300 meters so you probably wouldn't notice the change. Aiming error is also about 20mm too.
The left and right change would be critical and probably more visible based on the inaccuracies of the mounting system.
The good news is that you would be close enough that the sights could easily be adjusted to center the group.
