Here is something that a little crazy and it might not work ..but as reading the post on the Boycottong the Army National Championship and i got this crazy idea about how to get the kids togerther for one super shoot and make it fun for them and more open to a teams who are not in some places allowed to shoot at matchs like the rotc one . ok school get out for most kids in june time frame from most schools ..

how about this ideas ..

take 300 teams from across the nation and they meet somewhere in Kansas at a fair grounds area where you park and pitch a tent and there places to let the kids shower and go to the bathroom ..and if wondering why kansas i figure it was central to everyone traveling to the place..

the teams are 6 kids each of the school or 4h program they have to be a mix of males and females ..and it does not matter if your jrotc or 4h or some school team or a throw togerther team of homeschooled kids ..all are weclome

and you shoot it out everyday for two weeks of shooting in the day time starting at 8am and going intill about 1 pm then takeing a break with the heat of the day dies down then start back about 5 pm and then go to let say 9pm and call it a day running 6 days a week on sunday is a day of rest and start back up monday morning with the top scores intill there is one team that is the total points winner for the shootout .with all the team starting on monday and those who have been eliminated can stay and help with the line safe officers and be runners for things ..then on to the next round of shooting intill you have four teams left standing and they shoot it out on friday and sat and sat nigth the last two teams goes head to head to win the shoot out ..then sunday we have a bigger drinner and give out the awards for the shootout ..they can be diff types of awards for the best in class or something that we have to make up but all goes home with something to show what they did ..

.we can short it down if need be .. i think it a great idea to get the kids out shooting againest groups of teams that they would never gotten to shoot againest ..

with a few people outside the influnce of the whole thing and make them line safety officers and judges ..try and get the shooting usa people involved with the shoot out match with people from the diff states who are not a little blias towards someone or team ..

this way all the kids teams who wanted to come can come and they are not shut out by some reg that says you have to

plus it would be great to network with the other teams coachs as need ..

call me crazy but i think it would work with a lot of planning and the right place to shoot at ..i was thinking like the one of the building for the show cattle or holds a shows in ..

i know it might not work but it a idea for those teams out there that do not really fit into anywhere else ..

LOL crazy - like an Ironman for kids target shooting. but take in mind that there is more to life than school or 4H teams. How about including club teams, make it 4 person so more can participate? From crazy ideas come real nuggets sometimes!

It is indeed crazy. Ignoring everything else, just look at the number of shooters proposed here. 300 teams with 4 shooters each is 1200 athletes. On a fairgrounds. In Kansas. In summer. One shudders to contemplate it.

BTW: Standard sentence structure and spell checking go a long way to making ideas seem worth considering.

where the idea was came from was at a town hall meeting about the school sports programs and how we as parents who live in the school district area are paying taxs to the local school system and the kids who are homeschooled are not beening allowed to play in the school sports programs that the school district has ..
