I just completed the Pilkguns trigger modification on my new Avanti 753 Elite. A small plastic spacer was present that I cannot find on any of the trigger modification threads or photos.
The spacer is plastic, about 3/8" X 1/2" and has a hole in the middle. Both sides of the spacer are concave with one surface matching the contour of the L/W barrel and the other surface matches the contour of the frame. The spacer fits neatly between the barrel and the frame but nothing matches the hole through the middle of this plastic spacer.
Can anyone confirm that this spacer belongs between the bottom of the barrel and the top of the frame or, if not, WHERE does this piece belong. I currently have the spacer in the gap between the barrel and the frame and everything works quite smoothly.
Followup call to Daisy:
I called Daisy and they promptly emailed both the schematic and the parts list but this "spacer" was not on either document so after reviewing the parts list and schematic I called Daisy back and talked to a technician. He was not able to identify the component and said he was unaware of any component that matched my description used in the Avanti 753 Elite.
He indicated that changes are sometimes made that he is not immediately aware of so he transferred me to their quality person. I do not have a resolution yet but they certainly do try to help. The quality person is to call me back.
If anyone has a relatively new Daisy Avanti 753 apart please look and see if there is a small plastic spacer between the bottom of the barrel and the top of what they call the frame.
Thanks - Mike
