I was checking a few things on the USAS website and ran across some new things for PPP (Perhaps already discussed here and I missed it).

Has anybody tried the counterbalance t-stand for PPP that is shown on the USAS website? If so, how did it go? Any thoughts or improvements I might want to incoporate into a stand?

There is a new PPP rule book for 2010 on the USAS website. There are some significant changes to the program.

SO they are going to make it even MORE complicated now, so it is HARDER for a club trying to start?! OY VEY! What's wrong with these people when it comes to helping the grass-roots?!

Guest, the counterbalance change is a positive one. Cost is only around $20 to make one, and it gets the kids into competitive positions much faster.

It also makes many more pistols useful in the program, as lots of them were very difficult to use in the supported positions.

Take a look at the new support, build one, or borrow one from another club, and give it a try. I think you will find it a real benefit to your program.
