Pistol case

Hi all!
New issue in my Air Pistol matches:
Can I put my pistol case on the shooting table provided by the shooting range in a 10 metre Air pistol match or in a 50 metre (Free pistol) match?. According to the ISSF rules the shooting table cannot be taller than 80 cm. So, if my pistol case is, say 20 cm thick, I have a one metre table... Is it legal or not? Some Range Officers here in Spain do not allow to put the pistol case on the shooting table, some do so... Who is right?
