Doesn't the Morini cylinder valve open when the filling adapter ist screwed in?

No, it opens under pressure when filling.

I have one, but IM going to drill and tap it to also use as a double check as a preassure gauge. Just a little thing to do. !/16 27 NPT to 1/8 - 27 NPT and a little 4000 PSI gauge.
