I am new to the free pistol discipline, and have recently purchased a Toz from another shooter. I am having many troubles with the sight adjustments. It seems that there is not enough adjustment to the rear sight. I have had to cut off a small piece of plastic from a credit card to shim up my rear sight. This seems a bit crude to me, and I was wondering if any others out there have had similar issues. I have come to learn that the Toz is a great shooter, but crudely made,,,,,at least that is what I am told from others who are up the road ahead of me. HELP!

same with mine !!! I made a shim from a feeler gauge...works fine ....or shoot sub-six hold,and all is well. Or place a small metric washer under the elevation adjustment knob

That is exactly right but they are made well where it counts. you could just take a bit off the front sight

If you don't have enough downward movement on the rear sight, check and see if the screw is hitting the wooden grip preventing it from going all the way down. I had to relieve the grip, just making a small hole so the elevation screw didn't hit the wood in the grip and could go all the way down. It helped matters.

As said previously, a sub 6 hold, which enables one to focus on sight alignment ,more specificially, also lessens the amount the rear sight has to be lowered.

I have the same problem on a MU55.
Can't get high enough and even not left enough.

I dont know anything about the mu55 never even seen one but if the sight is like th 35 then left to right should be no problem as if you dont have enough adjustment just undo the little screws holding it on and slide it accross

unfortunattely the complete rear sight sits on arail. I can't shift it sideways.
And it isn't possible to shift the rear blade either.
I'll take some pictres.

can you move the front sight laterally , by any chance ?

no, it's fixed by a vertical pin

I might have a solution.
I designed a new rear blade that is higher and where the notch is de-centered to the left.
I will have them made (3D printed) in black plastick. Curious if this will work.
Here are 2 screenshots, first one is with the original dimensions, the other is 2.5mm heigher and 5mm wider.

that is amazing...what materials do they use for the parts? I watched some other Youtube video,and some looked to have UV curing or suchlike . Have you tried making a "skin" of a grip at all...the surface against the pistol,mated to the surface that the hand touches ?

the one I pointed you to uses UV curing indeed, problem is that in all daylight you have UV so your parts get harder and harder but also brittle. I don't think it's a good idea to use it for a grip.
Another printer prints ABS plastick, a thermoplast material. This isn't influenced by light or any other outside influence. I was thinking to use that one for a grip... but it will take a while. I will post any developments.

Did you know you can even print metals? Very expensive machines but it's possible.
