I have no political inclinations but there are really things worth knowing about, like how politicians do their best to make one group happy, in good faith or otherwise, and have negative consequences. I found this on you tube:

This was a protest about the fox hunting ban,the government banning hunting with hounds, than a protest about owning a gun for protection. some one has got their wires crossed on this. Colin

Is quite common in the US.
Also, in 38 of the 50 states, you cannot be denied a license to carry a handgun if you do not meet the disqualifying criteria (which vary slightly from state to state).
