How to turn the outside of a cylinder

One of my FAS cylinders has been modified with a new valve. Evidently, when it was put back together, it was "turned" a bit. So, when the cylinder is screwed onto the gun, the logo on the cylinder doesn't line up properly. I would imagine that someone watching me shoot, might snicker... ;-) Can't have that.

How can I turn this? I do a lot of gunsmithing, but I'm just getting into APs, so I thought I'd ask first.

Thanks,

Marlin

It's like timing many other kinds of threads; set back the face or faces, if there is enough material for 1 turn (male or female side) on a lathe and re-assemble. I, however, wouldn't take that job on a dare. Even with fine threads, you run the risk of removing enough material to go from a well alligned logo to a bomb! Besides, while they are laughing, you can be shooting tens!
