I'm going to buy the new MEC shooting glasses system. I know my actual prescription is probably NOT the right one for SHOOTING. It is recommended that I find a person who is knowledgeable on the topic of creating lenses specifically for shooting.

Does anyone know who might be the most qualified person to help me? bp

Clck your way over to http://www.knobloch-schiessbrillen.de/allframes.html and then select the Testing Device tab for a pretty good explanation.

http://www.pilkguns.com/c16.shtml has a good discussion, also.

Bart P,

Here is a link to a good set of instructions, written by an optician who is very familiar with the vision needs of target shooters. It is intended to be furnished to your optician in the event that he / she is not familiar with the pecularities of rifle and pistol sighting.

I am also interested in the MEC glass frames. However, I am having difficulty establishing contact with the dealer(s) in the United States.
If you have a US contact for the glass frames and accessories I would appreciate the information.

You can Email me at: Aardvark40@aol.com

Good luck with your glasses.

I just ordered some shooting glasses from Bob Jones at http://www.bjonessights.com/ . Bob was on the US Palma team, and still shoots copetively, so he know what we need. He anwers the phone himself and can guide you. On his website he has an area to print out to take to your eye doctor with you.

I haven't got the glasses yet, so I can't give a critique. [/url]
