162 cylinder mount

Post by jak10x1 »

Hi Shooters, do any of you lube the threaded area where the cylinder screws to the mount?

#2 do you relieve the pressure by loosing the cylinder a few turns if your not going to use the AP for a week or 2 or do you just leave it tight?

Thanks, John

I have used a bit of silicon grease on the threads which, IMHO, was a big mistake. Instead of making the threads smoother it seemed to just make them tighter.

I leave the cylinder on the gun, frequently for several weeks at a time (I really must get back to shooting more). I don't know if it's the recommended thing to do but it hasn't caused me any problems.

For some reason I always unscrew the cylinder on my LP5; mainly just because I always have.
