So. I have been using CLP Breakfree on my Morini CM22RF. The recoil buffer on this gun got a rubber thingie that keep the bolt from hitting the frame of the gun.
After about 150 rounds I can see extensive wear on this rubber. aka "mushroming".
Is the CLP Breakfree a rubber solvent?
(I have read the CLP productdatasheet, no findings regarding rubberdisolving properties)

Please advice,
Sinserely,

CLP on recoil buffer

I do believe Break Free or other CLP products will soften rubber or similar items. I have the same problem with 1911 bullseye guns, recoil buffer "mushrooming" then causing malfunction with the slide. I try to not get any on them, then change the buffer frequently.

The C in CLP stands for Clean. It does have a solvent in the mix.
