Hi Folks

Recently I bought a Hill Pump to replace my aging Axsor. However I would like to refurbish the old Axsor and I wonder if anyone has some info on how to proceed? In particular I'm wondering about replacing the medium used to extract moisture and a source for replacement seals etc.

Any input much appreciated.

E-mail the factory..

Hi Guest

Thanks for the reply. The problem is I can't find a contact email for Axsor. Their "homepage" is one of those search pages.

http://www.axsor.com/

Maybe I'll contact Pilkguns and see if they have any ideas.

The company that makes the Axsor pump (the first version) is called CNC-Process AB, their homepage is www.cnc-process.se , it´s mostly in swedish but the pages on airguns are in english too.
If you look under the header "Handpump" (swedish for hand pump...) you will see a picture of the pump, that way you can see if it´s the version you have.

Their email is info@cnc-process.se

They have been very helpful when I have contacted them with the same question.

Good luck!

Well I guess it's a lost cause. I sent those folks 2 emails and they haven't responded. :(

By the time you pay for shipping back to Sweden and for parts and labor you just as well have bought a new one for the difference.

I was going to do it myself, but I can't figure out how to get into the part of the pump which holds the medium for removing moisture. But of course if I can't get parts..........

As I said before, I think it's a lost cause. Thanks for the replies.

I just noticed you were look to get service done on a Axsor pump. Jocelyn Langlois of Cibles Canada Targets in Ottawa/Hull services them. He did mine last year. Tell him Richard in Guelph sent you.

Email is cct@videotron.ca

Thanks, Richard. I've dealt with Jocelyn before. I'll look into the pump situation :)

I do not like hearing that CNC-process did not answer your e-mails, but then again when I contacted them a few years back I called them and for me there is no language barrier, although I find it unlikely that their english is bad enough to prevent them from answering.

According to their web site the person in charge of information and service is Torbjörn Ek with e-mail: torbjorn@cnc-process.se
I should have spotted that before...

Anyway, you can simply unscrew the pump tube from the lower body to change or inspect the shot (spheres) that constitute the drying agent, I had an old pump with metal shot (nickel I think) but in the newer ones it is glass.
It is not really a drying agent but rather a way of providing surface area for the moisture to condensate on.
Going further into the pump requires some tools (padded vice, pliers) and heat (for breaking thread lock fluid) but you should have spare parts before attempting this.

I hope it works out for you in the end

/Anders
