How about the LPA Sights. I have read several places that these are nice. My guns still have the factory sights, but I agree they could be improved on. Bo-Mar used have a narrow rib that worked well and was not too heavy. The Aristocrat PPC ribs are very fine, but much too heavy for a one handed gun in my opinion (I have a triset rib on a S&W Model 10) The Lpa goes on the gun like a scope mount and says it will fit a model 66 (K frame like the Model 14) If you have an earlier gun you will have to have the top strap drilled and tapped, but I think it will still fit.
Here is a site showing the LPA

Aristocrat does have an aluminum rib that weighs 4 ounces instead of 7 1/2 for the steel one. These ribs are made to go on large PPC bull barrels, but you might be able to get creative and mount one of these on a factory barrel. If you were able to drill out the rib and mill it down a bit in the middle you might be able to make a nice install. The Aristocrat ribs are very well made and you could make it so you could have center hold for duel and sub six for precision pre set and ready to go.

Weigand makes a really nice rear blade for the SW sight- looks just like a BoMar. Comes in two notch widths .110/.125

* I'm guessing that these are responses to my post but w/ different subject lines.
The Weigand and LPA look promising.
I hope that the bo-mar company gets back on its feet. It's my understanding that the firm is currently on the market.
