carpooling to PTOs out of state ...

hello all,
i live in NoHo CA and i was wondering if anyone would be interested in carpooling to PTOs out of state? i am just getting started in 10m AP so i don't know much, but i do know that the PTOs held at Prado Range are no longer in session.
you could say i have *no choice* but to go out of state to see how these events works, and if anyone would care to tag along, please feel free to let me know, you don't have to participate, i won't be, i'm still waiting on my Izzy to arrive.
lastly, if any expert would care to voice their opinion on how a beginner breaks into the discipline, please feel free to post away, Bill Poole has already invited me to AZ, and i'm sure all beginners are welcome, so why not go together eh?
