Anyone know how to access the Beijing World Cup ISSF TV videos - all that is up on the website at the moment is the Belgrade shotgun videos

Click on Championships/2008 then select the Beijing World Cup.

I presume that ISSF TV will NOT be showing any of the Olympics. That'll be tied up in the normal TV deal.

It will be tied up by normal TV which will not show any of it. I'm hoping that seeing as some of the networks are offering streaming video we might be able to see some of the shooting events, but I'm not holding my breath.

ISSF does not have any rights to Olympic shooting

It is a shame that national braodcasters do no show much (if any) shooting, as the host broadcaster contracturally has to cover and make available all the Finals - it is up to your national rights holder network as to what they pick up and broadcast.

If you contact your national IOC broadcast network, do not let them fob you off by 'claiming' that shooting sports are not available from Beijing

So, lets assume that the TV networks will show virtually no shooting. Maybe if someone colapses and needs oxygen after shooting 5.9 in a final we might see it, but otherwise unlikely.

What is the best internet option for follow the shooting live or as close to live as possible?

I'll take a guess that there won't be such an option. The best you can hope for will be the results on the official Olympics web site.

Anything else will be an unexpected bonus.

There is a chance that some Chinese TV stations, which I use PPLive to watch on the internet, will show the matches, especially because China have many world-class shooters. But given that there are many other sports that will be competing at the same time, (weightlifting, diving, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics ...), that are better spectator's sports and also medal opportunities for China, I doubt even Chinese TV will show many full-length shooting events. :( Also, I'll spend the first week of the Olympic Games with my in-laws, so I won't have much time to spend on the internet anyway.

My only hope now is that ISSFTV on youtube will have some matches on there after the events. Incidentally, the youtube user ISSFTV lives in China. He was an air pistol shooter in high school. Because his scores were not good enough to get him in a college that has a shooting team, he doesn't have access to a pistol now. Here is his blog. Kind of ironic, isn't it?

I believe MSN TV will be covering the Olympics as they did for the last Olympics.

And do you know if that is available on the internet at all ? I'll have a search around nearer the time myself, but don't usually have much joy with these things.
