Velocity range

I could not find any discussion on this topic. What is considered the best velocity range to start testing ammo for 50 Meter 3P and prone Ex 1060-1070 or something like 1030-1040. With all the different velocities would take forever to test everything, so a good starting point is needed. For a 2007 with 500mm barrel. The other problem seems to be finding sufficient quantities of ammo to even test with the hope that by the time you get a box or two and have time to shoot it, its all sold when go back to purchase a case or two.

Every gun likes different ammo...

Having said that I have found a faster ammo to work better in the winter and slower to work better in the summer. I generally like to use around 1050.
