Resetting Velocity on LP1 or LP10- Indication of a problem?

Does everyone check velocity with a chrony from time to time? If you need to adjust, is it a sign of a problem?I noticed that one gun had dropped 20 ft/sec. Is this normal over a year??? What causes it to drop its pressure? What would be the fix for this??? If its a rebuild are kits available?

IMO 20ft / sec is nothing significant . My LP10 dropped over a 100 - although it was sent off for a service shortly after. I would personally just check it every now and again and adjust the velocity if required. If it suddenly starts getting a lot worse then get it serviced. I'm sure it's possible to do it yourself but I prefer to get my precision gun serviced by someone who nows what they're doing, who can give it a full check over as well - i.e. not me !

I only check it if I suspect there might be a problem. If the holes are appearing where I expect them to be and the gun sounds like it normally does then I'd leave it alone. Having said that, I do get my air pistols serviced every 18 months (or so) anyway.
