Adjustin Elevation - TOZ 35 vs TOZ 35M

Is there any difference in adjusting elevation on the TOZ 35M vs the TOZ 35? I have both. I took my TOZ 35 to the range today (for the 1st time). The shots were low. I was able to turn the elevation screw counterclockwise but NOT clockwise. There seems to be a ball that slips into a detent. I have no problem with my 35M; I can move the elevation adjusting knob clockwise or counterclockwise (easily) by hand.
