MiniSniping is a game that has been around for a long time. It is simple in nature while very challenging, it doesn't require expensive targets, and can be shot in the back yard or local club. Many airgunners have heard of it but never really knew the rules or how the game was really played.

With the help of Jock Elliot, there is now a website dedicated to the game of MiniSniping. The new website, located at http://www.minisniping.org , describes the game of MiniSniping and defines a set of rules for the game. The rules were developed by Jock and me from the 1984 Guns & Ammo magazine MiniSniping article by Peter Capstick. They were developed so that the game can be shot by a couple of friends in the backyard, by guys at a local club, or by people from all over the globe via the internet. We designed the divisions and classes so that anyone can play the game with any type of airgun. The website will also offer MiniSniping eMatches so that airgunners can play the game with others worldwide. These matches can be shot with any type of airguns but we encourage the use of 10 meter match rifles & pistols and lower power sporter airguns.

The MiniSniping.org website is still under development and I hope to add some pictures and other content to the page in the coming months. If you have any suggestions or comments on the site or the rules, please email them to me via the website email. Also, if you have

Take a new look at an old game and give it a try. The first eMatch will be held in June so get your 9mm cases ready and give it a try. MiniSniping, it is an easy game to learn but a hard game to master.
