Grip Size

Hi people,

I'm looking to get either a Morini 162EI or a Steyr LP10. What is the grip size that I should be looking for?

My palm width is around 80-83 cm. On a Steyr LP1 I find that the medium grip is quite comfortable. However due to the fact that my fingers are quite long, they tend to wrap around the grip past the "rough" part of the grip to the other side.

Advice?

unfortunately palm width, is one of the worst measurements of the hand, however it's one of the easiest. It works if you are average, but fails badly if you are not.

To give you an example I have a 90mm width, which would 'qualify' a medium Morini grip, but because my fingers are like ET i need an XL !

Can you try several different sizes ?

Drop me a 'PM' I have some stuff waiting to be written up for the wiki on this, I can email it to you, but its only good if you can try sizes.

One rule of thumb is bigger is better because it's easier to remove wood that add - though if it's too big you will reach the screws before you have removed enough wood !
