Some time back titantoppler and i started to put together a shooting dedicated wiki. The wiki has now move to its new home www.shootingwiki.org

We are already in the debt of several people for their contributions including Mick Gault, C. Morini amongst others.

I would like to encourage you to take a look and hopefully contribute. Because the wiki was started by pistol shooters we have a dire need for rifle and shotgun contributions. Even if it's just a few photos.

I am busy working on the structure and I will be great full to receive any suggestions and ideas.

Regards

Julian

Re: Weapons Database. I suggest use of a more neutral descriptor such as "Competion Arms Database" which is used on the TargetShootingCanada website. Although our AP, FP, RF pistols can be used as weapons, we use them primarily for ISSF competition.

I have found some good entries in Wikipedia, I am not sure you would want to plug your page in there or connect the two. It would be shame to duplicate the info and waste the resources that way.
Cheers

The wiki is continuing to grow in strength, currently amassing over 2000 hits per week.

Today I received and email from Jochen Anschütz offering Images and technical details for their products - seems we are being noticed.

There has been some concern about vandalism, However with the moderation team now in place, and considering the abilities that we have to roll back and unwanted changes, I hope these incidents can be kept under control.

So far however we have almost no rifle or shotgun information so if any one wants to contribute please join us

This is a wonderful idea for shooters.

I've posted a short article on Mental Training and still have to fill in the hyperlinked subjects.

For those of you who don't know me (and I assume that is most of you) I was the team physician for the 1980-1984 US Shooting Team and I have written a monthly mental training article for Shotgun Sports Magazine (http://www.shotgunsportsmagazine.com) since 1988. I have an article on that site every month, usually the one printed two months before. You can buy my book on that site too (Mental Training for the Shotgun Sports) and every time you do, I get $1.

I am a practicing psychiatrist in Wisconsin, but a native of Franklin, TN, not all that far from Monteagle.

I am no longer shooting in competition but I did get my LP10 out the other day and shot a few targets if that helps settle my bona fides.

Michael,

Welcome aboard I am in no doubt the your expertise will be invaluable.

On the subject of shotguns we have no clay shooting contributors, so I you happen to know people who may also be interested in contributing, perhaps on other boards please pass on the word.

Many thanks

Julian
