Are butt hooks legal in 10m air standing?

Hi,

In a paper league, and i've searched the ISSF rules and cant seem to find a definitive answer...the 10m section doesn't seem to mention butt hooks, the 3p section does...common thought at the club is that they aren't allowed, but i thought that if they were used in 3p then they may be.

Doesnt matter either way, just would be good to know if anyone does for certain.

Cheers

Rob

Hooks are not allowed on the air rifle. See ISSF rule 7.4.3.6 at http://www.issf-shooting.org/rules/engl ... 5_2nd.html

Hi Rob

Butt hooks are not allowed in the 10m discipline. If you cannot find a definitve reason in the ISSF rule book, go to the pages that outlines allowed butt plate dimensions for 10m and standard rifle. You will see just by the allowed dimensions that a hook would be out of the question.

In other words, it would contravene the dimensions set for the discipline.
