I understand the pros and cons of a longer versus shorter sight radius, especially for beginners like me.
What are the pros and cons of widening or narrowing of the rear sight slot so as to permit more or less space between the front blade and the rear sight sides in the sight picture?

I need quite a bit of space on either side. If I do not have it my eyes get tires and everything blurs.
