I know many people play around with various diopter adjustments from there regular prescription for pistol shooting, but what do people typically do for rifle shooting? Is there any benefit to using a +.25 lens when shooting rifle, or does the small aperture make the depth of field great enough that my standard prescription will work fine?

It depends on your vision, but a great deal of rifle shooters use some correction to bring the front sight into better focus. In highpower this is expecially true for those shooting the AR-15/M-16 platform since it sight radius is several inches shorter than the other service rifles.

I use a + .25 diopter lens in the rear sight of my AR-15 NM service rifle. I use a 1.3X magnifier in the front sight of my Model 70 Highpower rifle and my Anschutz 1411.
