Konus Spotting Scopes

Anyone got any comments on the above scopes,am looking for something new after struggling to pick up shots at 50mtrs.There are a couple in my club which seem to perform well but just looking for general comments ie 60--80--or 100 objective lense and what is their eye relief like,do you like Vari power or fixed?

I work at a store that handles the Konous Spotting Scope. The scope for the price is one of the best I have seen for brightness and the only thing that has a negative the I can see is that the scope body is not as rugged as most of the other spotting scopes out there on the market. I have Kowa and the lens brightness is just as bright and it only cost half as much. However, this may not matter if your not out there banging it around in the back country. The eye relief is short and not long like the Kowa 25X power that I have been using.

Hi Martin,
That 297 was a good hit the other day at Southern Hawkes Bay in those conditions. Your trouble with spotting your shots was that you were putting them all the same hole :-)

I have a Kowa 60mm with 25x eyepeice (can't remember what model). It certainly is very good for 50m but of course a 80mm Kowa would be even better. Janet has a 60mm Konus but it struggles in low light, she really wants a Kowa as well now. Maybe Santa could help ?

I have to go with Kowa to I have a TS-501 its 45º with 20-40x its great for air and smallbore. And it is tough I dropped it once (I know not a good thing to do) It did not have a mark and it works great. It is about $250.00 US but it will last for a long time as long as I don't drop it again ;-)

My daughter uses the 80 MM Konus scope.

I'm real impressed with it's optics, clarity and brightness. Works very well on 50 yard and 100 yard matches she has shot in.
