FWB 700 LITTLE BLACK PLASTIC PART-ABSORBING DEVICE

Hi everybody.

I have this little black plastic piece that came on my FWB 700 UNIVERSAL hanging around, which I don't know where it belongs.

I wrote to FWB and they told me that it is the "locking cover of the absorber" and that I should "press it" into the absorber........where/how???

Can anybody explain me where and how do I press this little piece. I try to find some help from the instruction manual, and there is nothing near to that, neither a picture or anything. I'm very dissapointed with this instructions, I was expecting a very detailed instruction manual from such a high grade gun.

I will also like some help on how to check and adjust the absorbing device, I really don't understand this instructions. For those of you who have the instruction manual, it is on page 36 (well on mine).

I appreciate any help on this issue, I am lost.

Thanks in advance

It slips into the inside of the big ring that surrounds the air cylinder under the barrel and protects the cylinder from scratching/contacting metal to metal. Take out the air cylinder. I believe it goes in from the inside, starting on the side of the action and going towards the muzzle (I may be wrong about this direction as my daughter took her rifle with her to college - try either direction). The plastic ring has a lip that only allows it go in in one direction.

Thanks for your interest Floyd1977.

I tried to follow your instructions, but the rifle already has that ring that prevents the metal to metal contact.

I think that the only way to show this piece is to post a picture of it.

It is a little "soft plastic" cup with the FWB logo on one of it ends (it's not a ring, you can't see through it).

The only place that I have tried and it "kind a fit" is on the threads of the air cylinders.

Thanks for any help.

I took a digital photo of the piece and mailed it to FWB, they said that it is to protect the valve on the air cylinder.

Thanks
