Anyone else had ammo hang up in the magazine with the bullet down lodging it between the front and back edges of magazine? Lots of wax residue with CCI SV.

My experience -- and others have reported the same -- is that Pardinis don't seem to like CCI. The cartridges are a little longer than other brands and tend to be a little waxier, causing them to bind in the magazines. I had nothing but problems -- endless failures to feed -- trying to use CCI Blue Label in my SP. Switching to Federal Match, I can't recall ever having a problem. I also have an SP New (my SP is set up for NRA rules with a red-dot and the SP New is set up for international) but I haven't tried CCI in it. (Why would I? :) But shooting Federal in the SP New has been (no surprise) totally reliable.

Bottom line: Try a different brand of ammo. If you're having trouble shooting CCI in a Pardini, your gun is like most other Pardinis.

Thanks, that was a good start.
I measured the over-all length of the CCI SV I was using and some Federal Champion I had laying around.

CCI SV =.993" avg = 25,22mm
Fed Champ = 9.75" avg = 24,76mm

Difference of .018" = ,457mm in length.

The Federal does not bind up in the mag like the CCI.

Too bad I don't have any of the Lapua Match M I first used in it to measure. that was great ammo.

I have a friend who religously removes the wax from his CCI SV ammo before shooting it in his older Pardini SP

My personal experience with the newer Pardini Magazines extended to the purchase of a new .32 magazine to supplement the two I have with my "old" HP. I could not load the magazine into the well---according to Larry Carter it seems that when they made the "new" SP's & HP's they changed some of the dimensions of the cast mag well. It took Larry going with a mike through the shipment to find one that would fit my "old" HP. I think that JAGD Green Dot and RWS Target Rifle have plenty of grease on them and neither seem to affect my "old" SP. I would take the SP magazine apart and give it a good cleaning with Gun Blaster and then lubricate with powdered graphite. I also have found that my SP mags do not like to be loaded carelessly as the rounds will tip and you will fun removing them---nothing like it when re-loading for the Rapid Fire and you screw up. You get glares from the RO and the other competitors. Additionally when I bought my SP from Nygord he sent me a brick of RWS Target and told me to never use any "cheap" ammo.
