Hammerli Major Financial Problems?/ Relocation?

Is there any truth in the rumour that Hammerli have been bought by Umarex, and that the factory at Lenzburg has been stripped of its production machinery, which is said to have been shipped to Germany?

Umarex now own Walther. They make the CO2 bulb powered replicas that are so popular in the magazines. They are also said to finally be giving Walther the financial investment it has needed for so many years.

Quite true. Umarax bought Hammerli lock, stock, and barrel, and is moving all the production to Germany. No idea of what will happen to the line.

Hi Jim

Yes, Umarex / Walther took over Hammerli on 3rd February.

Lenzburg was actually shut back in 2003 when everything was moved to Neuhausen.

Hi,

And SIG P210, the finest 9mm pistol in the world, is now out of production.

SIG is going to make military weapons only.

Just that model and caliber? Or others in that P2xx line as well?

Only the SIG 210 will be discontinued. The other P2XX are SIG-Sauer which is another manufacturer.

If I had the money I would love to own the 210 with the US magazine release. Oh well, I've got the euro version with a 22 conversion. That should be enough for anyone.
