Older Walther Air Pistols

Any comments, good or bad, on the Walther CP1, CP2 and CP3 pistols?
Anything in particular to look for that may be trouble?
Looking for more of a piece of history than a competition gun, but must function reliably.
All comments appreciated.

The CP2 is a very nice piece , and a very nice shooter . They are available in CO2 and PCP versions . If I could find one I'd grab it .

Chris,
To the best of my knowledge, the CP2 was made well before PCP technology was used in target pistols.
Again, based on my incomplete knowledge, if I wanted one of the 3 models mentioned as a shooting gun (not just collectable), I would go for the latest CP3 I could find. I believe there were some trigger problems, in the earlier models, that were improved in the later CP3s. If RayMac is listening he could provide the definitive information.

My bad I was thinking of the CPM 1 ( like the LP201 in tenPfiles -less the shroud ) .We have one at our club , unfortunately not for sale ).

I shot the CP3 pictured below for many years. Digging up the picture brings back fond memories...it was very reliable and the trigger was pretty good and very consistent. I added the Morini grips, Nygord compensator, and short CO2 cylinder. As pictured its balance was very similar to my current Morini EI Short. I would highly recommend the CP3 to any beginning shooter.
