Smallbore rifle in Minnesota

It looks like I'm moving to NW Ontario (Fort Frances) by the end of the summer, and I'm wondering how active the NRA/ISSF smallbore rifle community is in Minnesota.

I've been to the MSSEC site and it's only about a 2.5 hour drive, which is bloody fantastic! I'm sure there's some way I can buy a hunting license that will allow me to bring my rifle into the state to shoot in matches, but are there any other active clubs that host matches throughout the year?

Thanks!

Jason

Jason-
There are several outdoor SB matches in Hibbing, MN each summer-- 3P and prone. (The Hibbing range is about 30 miles from Grand Rapids, I think.) All are outdoor. Email me and I'll send you the phone # of the gentleman who runs them, and he'll put you on his mailing list.

The MGFC web site is for Minnetonka Game & Fish Club, just northwest of Mpls. It's about 3 hours south of the MSSEC. A bit more of a drive for you, but we have SB matches there too, on what's likely the nicest outdoor range in this part of the country. We also have the only other electronic 300M range outside of Ft. Benning.
