Help! How do I fit a seal on my FAS AP609?

Hi everyone,

Hopefully there are some of you who have been where I am now. My FAS AP609 recently split the small o-ring seal on the breach pin (or whatever it's actually called). I've since obtained some spares, but I have no idea how to get a new seal on. The space to work in is small and fiddley, and the seal even smaller.

Does anyone know how I should do this? Do I need to strip the pistol down? If so, are there any instructions or diagrams floating around the web that I might get hold of?

Your expertise would be most appreciated!

A talked to a member of our club that has worked on a few 609s, but he didn't remember exactly how he replaced that seal.

It was either -

1) remove the 2 Allen screws on the top of the receiver and take off the barrel, then slide the new seal onto the "bolt".

or

2) remove the "bolt" from the rear and slip the o-ring on with the bolt out.

He thought it may be #2, but I did remember him saying something about removing the barrel.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Jay,

Someone else has just suggested the same thing; taking the cocking lever off, removing a threaded cap at the rear of the housing and then liding the bolt out.

Thanks again.
